Please find below how to manage your time off in Personio.
Go to your Personio account and and click in “Profile” the tab “Absence”.
Click on the day you want to take off and a new window opens.
Select the type of absence.
See below a description of the different Absence types.
Select the period.
You can add optional a substitute
Make sure that the person knows that you selected them as a substitute.
Click save and your record is saved and pending approval from your manager.

Vacation
This type of absence is used for personal holidays. Different policies are in place according to your location and set up. Please check the different setups here.
Vacation Austria (Paid) - use this if you are employed in Austria and want to enjoy some of your 25 paid days of annual leave.
Vacation Freelancers and EOR Remote (Paid) - use this if you are employed as freelancer or via an EOR (employer of record) and want to enjoy some of your 25 paid days of annual leave.
Vacation US (Paid) - use this if you are employed in the USA and want to enjoy some of your 25 paid days of annual leave.
If you are employed via an the EOR Remote.com, please note that there isn’t an integration with Personio in place, so you need to book your vacation in both platforms. Check “Request time off - Remote” for additional info.

| As a MOSTLY employed via an EOR, you are employed according to the local paid time off policies. Nevertheless, MOSTLY wants to ensure a harmonized policy across all locations, therefore we offer every MOSTLY employed via an EOR 25 days of holidays per full year. Should your country require a higher entitlement we will comply with this regulation.

Sick leave
Please use this type of absence in case of sickness or when you need to stay in the hospital.
Short sickness leaves (i.e. less than 3 days) will be compensated.
Sickness leaves longer than 3 days will be treated according to the local legislation.

PTO (Paid time off)
This includes all other kinds of paid time offs including public holidays (in Austria according to the collective bargaining, in US eg. jury service).
For US: Please use the Vacation absence type for tracking your vacation days not the PTO type.
Public holidays = Paid Time Off
On a global team, we all celebrate different holidays – which is great! But it’s important to make it easy for teammates to be fully off for the holidays of their region without putting the burden on them to ask for the time or have to justify it.
Therefore, our holiday guidelines are pretty simple: the holidays of your country are assigned as days off!
For our main locations (As of June 2022: Austria and US) we will have the public holidays populated in Personio. So MOSTLIES in these two countries do not need to do anything.
For all other countries, MOSTLIES need to request PTO in advance and mention in the comment box the name of the public holiday. Your manager will receive the request and gets notified about your absence and can plan accordingly.
Company holidays
Please use this type of absence to add the following days for 2022 as additional days off:
2022: 27 May 2022 + 26/27-30 Dec 2022
2023: 26/27-29 December 2023

Parental leave (includes maternity and paternity leave)
